Costs of Pet Cremation

What’s the cost of pet cremation in my area?
The typical pet cremation cost is usually around $55 to $100 for small animals, $100 to $150 for most cats and small dogs, while large dogs are $150 to $350.

The prices to cremate a pet vary widely from one city to another.  The best way to know for sure is to ask the local Pet Aftercare professionals in your community (search PetAftercare.US). If you need immediate assistance, get a price quote in your community:

What questions will I need to answer?
Since the prices charged for pet cremation is based on your pet’s size and your desired pet cremation service, you’ll need to know the approximate weight of your pet and you’ll need to decide if you want your pet’s ashes returned to you.  For an average sized cat, the cost of pet cremation may only be as low as $30 if you choose not to have your pet ashes returned. However, having a very large dog cremated with the ashes returned in a pet urn will usually cost several hundred dollars.

Search the U.S. Directory to find a local pet aftercare professional and tell them;

  • Your pet’s weight
  • Your desired cremation service (pet ashes returned or not)
  • If you want a private or communal pet cremation (learn more)
  • If you wish to attend the service (witness cremation)

About Pet Cremation
Pet Cremation is an aftercare option where the body is incinerated in a crematory furnace. Cremation for pets is typically arranged through your vet’s office, as they often have professional connections to pet crematories and experience in making the arrangements for such an event. Some pet owners choose to arrange their pet cremation directly with a local pet crematorium or a pet pickup service. (learn more about dog cremation)
